ABOUT US
We provide behavioral counseling, access to low or no-cost medication, self-help material, and referral to other quit-smoking services for thousands of smokers across the state trying to quit. Additionally, we facilitate training and technical assistance for health systems and clinics wanting to develop cessation services for their patients, employees, and the communities they serve.
We use evidence-based best-practices published by the U.S. Public Health Service, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other national health agencies to guide our activities. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in New Orleans with additional staff in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Shreveport, and Monroe, the LA-TCI aims to help Louisiana become a tobacco-free state.
